FUTSAL RULES
WHY FUTSAL?
Ball Control - With out of bounds, limited space and constant opponent pressure, players ball control skills and techniques improve at an accelerated rate
Ball Touches - In a statistical report from the US Soccer federation, comparing Futsal to other forms of indoor soccer, players touch the ball up to 220% more playing Futsal
Speed of Play - With earlier opponent pressure and a 4 second restart rule, players learn to play and think fast
Encouraged Learning - With 4v4 field players, the concept of support, width and depth is easily learnt and reflects the philosophy of player development expressed in the US Soccer National Coaching School
WHY PREMIER FUTSAL LEAGUE?
Levels of Play With over 150 teams last winter, the Eastern PA Premier Futsal League was able to offer appropriate levels of play to teams of all ages and playing ability.
Quality of Play - Our referees are trained in accordance with US Youth Soccer guidelines of play to enforce rules of play but at the same time to give leeway to younger and newer players learning the rules so as to not continually slow the game down to enhance development, which we take very seriously.
Location of Play - Episcopal Academy's Fieldhouse facility is the Premier location for Eastern PA's biggest Futsal League. Boasting 3 state of the art not-slip courts and acres of parking it's central location attracts a multitude of teams from it's surrounding clubs and even further afield.
